The Bed Head Chronicles

I am in the business of changing lives and making dreams come true. My mission is to positively influence others, to help empower you by connecting you to you greatest strengths. The “Bed Head Chronicles” are a series of short videos I’ve created as a small part of this mission. Please watch, listen and enjoy.

Re-Evaluating Our Early Beliefs

How beliefs that we formed early on in our lives can be sabotaging our efforts to be happy or to find success and fulfillment. Once we realize these beliefs were formed at an early age and no longer serve us, we can set ourselves free to live the lives we dream of. Today I speak about my beliefs about money that held me back from being able to have the impact on animal welfare and on the lives of others. Once I realized that financial freedom wouldn’t mean less love and less connection but could instead mean that I could do more for others, give more to the causes that mean so much to me and create more in this world, it become something that drove me, not something that terrified me. Staying Motivated

A young 13 year old asked me how I stayed motivated after I achieved my ultimate goal of becoming world champion. I explained how when we achieve our ultimate goal, it is so important that we then believe EVEN MORE in our capabilities. Rather than thinking, "I did it!! thank Goodness. I will stop here, that must be it for me" we need to believe that there is MORE! take a chance on ourselves, and have the glimpse of our own greatness inspire us to work harder to achieve more. Once I retired, I so wanted to pay it forward. To help others with dreams like mine, find a way to achieving their personal best. I had found a formula for success, and more importantly a formula to personal freedom, I felt it was my responsibility and privilege to now share that with others. Paying it forward so to speak. #bedheadchronicles #motivation #sirilindley

Cycles of Life

Witnessing the trees shed their multicolored leaves in the fall is a reminder to us all of our own cycles in life. Cycles of holding on and letting go. Appreciating the beauty in it all. Nature is constant inspiration. See the beauty in all your own cycles of life. Understand that oftentimes letting go allows us to make space for more wonderful things to come into our lives. Always have faith. Look for the gift. Find the beauty, it is everywhere. Appreciating and Acknowledging Yourself

Appreciating and acknowledging yourself as you would the people in your life you love so deeply. Guiding and advising yourself as you would someone you love deeply. Give yourself the same kind of appreciation, acknowledgement and care that you would another. The more you build up your love, appreciation and respect for yourself, the more you can GIVE to the world around you. Feed Your Soul

View this post on Instagram

What feeds your soul? What lights up your life? Why do we sometimes pull away from that which strengthens us, believing we should be able to strengthen even more on our own? My “failure” at the 2000 Olympic trials devastated me. The gift however is that what rose from the ashes of my defeat were some of the most powerful realizations of my life. An understanding of how I was sabotaging my efforts to succeed. Through my pain, I shed all previous beliefs of what it would take to achieve my ultimate goal. I clothed myself with a new focus, a new perspective that emboldened me. It liberated me by allowing me to pursue my dream authentically!!! In a way that fed my soul and allowed me to celebrate each day as an opportunity to show my thanks through my work rather than forcing my way through. Flow not force. I know this is longer than my usual BHC but I encourage you to hear me out. Once you do, ask yourself? Have I been going about my goals in a way that is serving me? Is there a different perspective I could have that would allow me to thrive, not just survive? Am I preparing for the wins and the losses? The ease and the pain? Do I have faith that no matter what comes my way, I will be okay? I will have an answer. I will rose from the ashes. I will fall but get up, dust myself off and know that In falling, I will rise with more experience, more knowledge and a better understanding of what is needed next. What an beautiful gift this life is. Instead of focusing on what didn’t happen, focus on what has happened to be where you are today! Have you achieved things that were only a dream years ago? AppreciAte your journey and allow it to fill you with confidence, purpose and gratitude!
