I was out on a beautiful walk and started getting so emotional, thinking about the past six months and, what I’ve been through and, sometimes thinking, how did I ever have that strength and that courage to get through all of that?
Because it was really hard. That got me thinking, and I’m just so grateful. I just start crying, you know, looking around me at, you know, any little flower or blade of grass or butterfly, and it’s just such a miracle to be alive. But in the same note, it made me think how sometimes, you know, I remember how I in the past would. I’d have a big workday and I’d say to myself, oh my God, this is going to be so hard. Or, you know, I’ve got to do the laundry. This is going to be so hard. I’ve got to undo the dishwasher. This is going to be so hard. Is it really that hard? Think about the things that you say this same thing too during your day, whether it’s you’ve got a work call or a meeting.
Oh, this is going to be so hard. You make it so hard just by saying. You make it so much more un-enjoyable because of how you’re perceiving it and it made me think like doing the dishwasher. Is it really that hard? No, it’s not. And God, I feel so grateful that I can unload a dishwasher right now.
Let’s not make things in our lives so difficult.
This is kind of an extension of my Bed Head Chronicle the other day, where, when we say we get to do things, instead of have to do things, it changes our entire experience of whatever it is we’re doing. But when you’re about to take on any task, whether it’s a big task, like running a meeting at your business or having to pay your bills or having to get on the phone with Comcast because your TV is on the Fritz. When you find yourself saying, Oh, this is going to be so hard, ask yourself, is it really that hard? It’s not. And your experience of it will be that much nicer because you’re not perceiving it to be something so horrible and so daunting.
I hope this helps everyone have an amazing day. I am just so grateful to be alive, this beautiful miracle of life and being able to share my experience with all of you. So blessed to have you all in my life. Have an incredible day, make it amazing and be you.
